Dem political ad employs doctor sued for botching an abortion and charged with sex crime against minor

In the ad embedded below, Dr. Adam Levy claims that “before Roe v. Wade, doctors saw plenty of botched back-alley abortions and far too many women died. According to a purported document from the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners, the doctor was cited for “alleged negligent performance of pregnancy termination resulting in death. Patient suffered known complications — perforation of uterus.” An insurance settlement of $20,000 occurred in the alleged 2007 incident. Dr. Levy later entered an Alford Plea of Guilty to lesser counts of child abuse and neglect and was sentenced to probation. Rep. Lee has apparently not responded to media requests for comment about the messenger featured in the ad, but Becker has.

To be sure, this country has plenty of problems, but this new “Commitment To America” platform offers us little in the way of real solutions, instead giving us tired slogans meant only to appease the Republican base. Increasing fossil fuel production, curbing illegal immigration, lowering inflation, combating crime, reducing government spending, to mention just a few. The “Commitment To America” platform doesn’t tell us, because Republicans know we won’t like what we hear. All of these “Commitment To America” slogans offer no viable solutions.

Debate host rejects ‘unfortunate’ Fetterman camp claim closed captioning system ‘filled with errors’

John Fetterman’s campaign, following his widely concerning debate performance, wasn’t quite as impactful when they pulled the victim card on “captions filled with errors” only to be summarily refuted by the production team. He did remarkably well tonight–especially when you consider that he’s still recovering from a stroke and was working off of delayed captions filled with errors. The closed captioning process functioned as expected during rehearsal and again during tonight’s debate. Both can’t be true…”Interesting that the Fetterman campaign is trying to blame closed captioning for their candidate's poor performance after they spent the first few hours after the debate bragging about how good Fetterman did. This means there isn’t a viable technology that allows Fetterman to ‘normally’ communicate to anyone in real time.
