WWE's Survivor Series WarGames on Saturday night from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts felt like one of the better pro wrestling events of the year. But even as a standalone thing, the WarGames match was a gluttony of great storytelling. Absolutely not, but it was an entertaining affair that made more sense than the usual cobbled-together Survivor Series matches. He's invested, fans are invested and Survivor Series 2022 will go down in hindsight as remembered mostly for him moments. Saturday night, Zayn simply proved once more he's the one controlling the ship, even if the guy next to him is the supposed gold-wearing captain.
Last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals threw for a whopping 481 yards and three touchdowns. It was the second successive week in which Burrow threw for at least 300 yards with three touchdown passes. Over the past month, Burrow is the highest-scoring quarterback in fantasy football. Terence Crawford or Spence," he told FightHype on Friday (5:43 mark). Spence is comfortable giving authority to his reps. Haymon is the most risk-averse talent manager in the sport. "If both fighters wanted this fight, they could have made it clear for Haymon to make this fight.1 month ago Bleacher Report
Week 11 saw some exciting action, and it began with the Tennessee Titans defeating the Green Bay Packers 27-17 on Thursday Night Football. The Packers, meanwhile, dropped further out of playoff contention in the NFC with a 4-7 record. With the loss, the Giants dropped to 7-3, the Rams dropped to 3-7 and the Jets dropped to 6-4. His backup, Bryce Perkins, completed five of 10 passes for just 64 yards in relief. New England's win helped it improve to 6-4 on the season and they're now in possession of the AFC's No.2 months ago Bleacher Report
AP Photo/Matt SlocumThe Green Bay Packers are now Jordan Love's team. Quarterback is the obvious starting point. However, the team's overall depth and consistency in the passing game have been significant sore spots for some time. Green Bay has more holes in its run defense than the simulated cheese heads the team's fans wear. The future is now in Green Bay.2 months ago Bleacher Report
Carmen Mandato/Getty ImagesIt might sound strange to say in a world where Brock Lesnar is arguably the best pro wrestler of all time, but WWE really doesn't need any more former MMA stars. His throwing down with Lesnar is a once-in-a-lifetime thing that has no real impact on other MMA stars coming over. But throwing more MMA stars into the mix would muddy those waters quickly, if not feel like more of a Vince McMahon-era sort of move. If WWE can dip into the well in such a successful fashion with celebrity appearances all of a sudden, there's really no reason to hit up the MMA realm. Yearning for MMA stars in WWE in near-2023 feels like a fading Vince McMahon-ism that just isn't necessary in this budding new era.3 months ago Bleacher Report
Andrew D. Bernstein/NBAE via Getty ImagesTwo games into the 2022-23 NBA regular season and it's time for the Los Angeles Lakers to face reality: They need to figure out a Russell Westbrook trade. On its face, the Lakers' 103-97 loss to the LA Clippers Thursday night shouldn't be the impetus behind a major shakeup. If the latest news is any indication, the big move—or any move at all—the Lakers need isn't coming anytime soon. On most nights, even Davis is part of the Lakers' shooting problems:Dealing Westbrook alone isn't a panacea. And right now, they need shooting.3 months ago Bleacher Report
The 2022-23 NHL season isn't even one month old yet and there's already so much to be wrong about. As it turns out, a lot of the pleasant surprises through the first two weeks of the season are oddly connected to each other. Anyway, let's take a look at the most pleasant surprises in the NHL while the season's still a baby. We aren't kidding ourselves into believing this two-game sample means more than it does, but it's a good start. Eichel's hot start accounted for, you also have to give credit to goalie Logan Thompson, who has worked himself up from the ECHL to Vegas' No.3 months ago Bleacher Report
