NICOLA Sturgeon vowed to publish her tax returns amid the Nadhim Zahawi scandal and growing scrutiny of leaders’ tax affairs. And as Ms Sturgeon restarted regular government press conferences for Holyrood lobby journalists - ditched in 2016 - she was quizzed on revealing her own tax returns and a previous, unmet pledge for her to publish them annually. She said that “there isn’t anything in my tax returns” other than her publicly declared salary as First Minister. The self-assessment deadline for tax returns is the end of January.
