'The place is getting better slowly': More than 100 arrests made on troubled Teesside estate

Since May, Cleveland Police officers have made 124 arrests as part of Operation Fortress in Hemlington. The wave of arrests link to alleged offences of criminal damage, arson, drugs offences, public order, possession of weapons and theft. There's less rubbish which makes the place look a bit tidier but all the boarded up houses look awful. "The place is getting better slowly so I hope they keep on working on it as there's loads more to do.
