Post by RK News on Monday, October 24, 2022Kishtwar, Oct 23: Kishtwar has emerged as North India’s power hub under the Modi government with a series of active power projects, in total expected to generate more than 6000 Mega Watt of electricity. DC Kishtwar apprised him that in this regard , there is a proposal of installation of 1 MVA Solar plant at Machail area of Paddar. Dr Singh directed to expedite the process of identification of the 40 Kanals of land for said project in collaboration with JAKEDA. While taking scheme wise review of the projects undertaken by different departments, Dr Singh stressed for timely completion of projects of people's importance within stipulated time frame. Dr Singh passed necessary directions to the concerned authorities for immediate resolution of these issues.

Indian generic drug Paxlovid in high demand in China amid Covid surge

Meanwhile, the demand for Indian generic drugs has shot up in China amid the ongoing Covid surge in the country, with specialists cautioning that dubious variations of those drugs were flooding the market. Due to the large and quick supply of Paxlovid, demand for Indian generic variations via Chinese e-commerce platforms has gone up. "On the Chinese e-commerce platforms... At least four generic Covid drugs produced in India -- Primovir, Paxista, Molnunat, and Molnatris -- have been listed for sale in recent weeks. Primovir and Paxista are both generic versions of Paxlovid, while the other two are generic versions of Molnipiravir," Chinese media outlet Sixth Tone reported. China ends COVID-19 travel restrictions for incoming passengers from today

The easing came days after mainland China diluted its harsh COVID zero policy and slightly lifted its restrictions on international travellers. Earlier, the Chinese government announced plans to ease border restrictions and resume overseas visits in an orderly manner as per the international COVID-19 situation. China will lift the travel restrictions from January 8, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said on Wednesday. The CAAC said that it will resume international passenger traffic, according to Global Times. The CAAC said that it will gradually resume applications for chartered international passenger flights, as per the Global Times report.

Transhumance: J&K govt transport service for migratory tribal families completes one month

The Tribal Affairs Department in the month of September notified the schedule for providing free transport service to migratory tribal families from highland pastures in Kashmir to Jammu beginning September 25. The J&K administration introduced the transportation service for migratory tribal families in April-May this year, covering the journey on National Highways, Mughal Road and other major roads. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, earlier this year, announced the launch of a scheme for providing transport facilities to the migratory tribal population in J&K. Secretary, Tribal Affairs Deptt, Shahid Choudhary informed that till 2021 no data on transhumance was available, depriving the huge tribal population of welfare schemes and development. In the last month, more than 11,000 tribal families have been provided with the transportation service which included transportation of livestock and household goods.
