Some experts are unsure what might happen if election deniers gain more control overseeing state elections, but they don’t see furor provoked by Trump subsiding soon. Wasden had declined to join Texas’ lawsuit against Georgia and other states that contested the 2020 presidential election, which rankled elected Republicans in Idaho. Democrat candidate Tom Arkoosh has said he accepts the results of the 2020 presidential election. OklahomaOklahoma’s chief state election official is the secretary of the Oklahoma State Election Board, which is a position appointed by the leader of the Senate — a Republican. Secretary Paul Ziriax in a letter to the state Legislature after the 2020 presidential election wrote that Oklahoma’s elections are “free, fair, safe and secure.”

Cardinals down Saints

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Marco Wilson and Isaiah Simmons scored touchdowns on two pick-6s late in the first half and used that stunning change in momentum to lift the Arizona Cardinals over the New Orleans Saints 42-34 on Thursday night. The game was tied at 14 when Saints quarterback Andy Dalton threw the game-changing interceptions on consecutive drives that were barely a minute apart. The first came when Saints receiver Marquez Callaway bobbled a potential catch. The Cardinals crowd — which hadn't seen a win since Oct. 24 of last season against the Texans — roared its approval. The Saints led 7-3 late in the first quarter and looked as if they were going to score another touchdown, but Cardinals cornerback Antonio Hamilton intercepted Dalton's pass in the end zone.

Century takes down Bismarck in straight sets

Century got out to a big lead early on and ran away with play to take an early 1-0 lead. "Bismarck is a talented group and a good team and it takes a lot of energy and trust in ourselves to get it done." In their state quarterfinal game against West Fargo Thursday at the state Class A tournament, the Sabers found it. Both teams started strong in the second set, but the Packers pulled away after the media timeout to push the Sabers to the brink. "We knew West Fargo was a strong defensive team," Astle said. But as it has all season, Legacy clawed its way back into the match, taking advantage of a number of West Fargo mistakes to level the game back up. Rivera won't commit to Commanders starting QB vs. Cowboys

Being out of playoff contention is not changing Ron Rivera's usual pattern of when he names his starting quarterback. Rivera on Monday would not to commit to a starter for the Washington Commanders' regular-season finale against Dallas. The Cowboys are still playing for the division title and would get it with a win and an Eagles' loss to the Giants.
