However, labor and employment specialists warn more job cuts are coming soon. Beginning in October of last year, tens of thousands of jobs in the tech sector across the Bay Area have announced mass layoffs. While massive losses in the tech industry, as well as in retail and merchant wholesalers, have dwindled dramatically, overall, California saw gains. California added 16,200 jobs in December, which was the fifteenth consecutive month of job growth in the state. California always has a lot of jobs that either require a college degree or give a lot of ‘points’ to candidates with them.
